Product Introduction

Rugby has seen an increasing move towards being played on synthetic turf pitches in recent years. World Rugby have clear guidance on the use of artificial grass to ensure safe facilities are installed and maintained and that performance is not compromised. In addition, the Rugby Football Union in England pledged to provide 100 3G artificial grass pitches as part of their Rugby World Cup legacy plans.
Not only is synthetic turf used for school pitches and for training fields, supporting the need for a high frequency of play all year round, but more and more professional and community clubs are also adopting synthetic grass for their primary pitches too. Gone are the days of inconsistent play or cancelled games due to waterlogged fields.
The components used for high quality rugby grass pitches must be resilient enough to withstand high-intensity activity whilst also being non-abrasive for players coming into regular contact with the surface during tackles and other aspects of the game. Suntex high quality rugby grass use TenCate fibre that is proven to stand up to the rigorous demands of rugby and have shown high quality durability, performance and resilience over years of use.
